3 years old - 5 years old 

20 minute lesson 4 pupils per class

This is the first level of our Preschool program, all new preschool clients will start in Penguins.

Skills we are developing Kicking, Stroking, Breath Control (face in for 10secs), Jumping and Back floating. Once your child has mastered these skills and can kick unaided in the streamline position they will progress to Otters.

This level is the first level of our Preschool program in which we no longer use the floatation aids.

Skills progressed in Otters are Basic Kicking and Stroking skills associated with swimming. Once your child is able to Kick and Stroke unaided for 4m with their head down in a relaxed manner and can jump in, roll onto their back then kick to their teacher they will progress to Tadpoles.

In Tadpoles your child will start learning the concept of breathing.

We use different drills to help teach the breathing and each child needs to master each stage before progressing to the next drill level.

Once your child has mastered these drills and is able to swim 12m Freestyle with correct breathing using an armband and is also able to Back kick unaided for 12m then your child will progress to Frogs

In Seals your child's Teacher will no longer be in the water with them and the lesson will take place in a 25m lane.

This class develops both Freestyle and Backstroke technique and increases your child swimming fitness.

Each child will keep being assessed and if the goals of the class are met will keep being progressed until they turn 5 years old at which time they will then join our Advanced Program

75% of all children that start in the Waterhole program 

between the ages of 3months - 9months and regularly 

attend 1 lesson per week every week will be at this level before they turn 5 years old
